These clay objects begin with traditional wheel thrown porcelainous white stoneware. The objects are derived form linear plant, animal and insect forms.  By adding sculptural elements, subtracting material, working the surface with engobes and slips, I strive to entice the eye to move and flow over the object with the allure of the hand to follow.

My “interior works” explore the lines between, utility - sculpture and necessity - adornment.
